Is it possible to change vista to XP. Xp seems to be more compatible with more software than vista. Cant change windows xp menu?
So today I was browsing for new Skins for my computer. I came across some on Alienware which I liked. But it asked me to download there program first to get the free skins. This was all on Alienware.Com so I know it wasnt fake or viruses. So I downloaded it and I changed some skins. But For some reason everything changed except the MENU BAR? The menu bar that opens from START.
So I deleted the program and completely got it out of my computer through control panel, etc. Then I went to change my menu bar to the newer style XP look, not the classic one. An it all changed to silver and the start button is green, but the menu bar is still not changing?
The menu bar looks like the old windows classic, the only difference is, it says: WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL running up the side of the bar (left side). An the bar has a strip of fading dark blue into black which is where the WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL is written in white on the strip.

and i saw new bootscreen..
but i had a problem to load XP after sowing bootscreen...
after bootscreen autometic my xp take restart...
i tried more bootscreen....but same problem
and when i change my bootscreen to original xp bootscreen then its ok...

You must first save all the data files (such as the files in 'My documents') in a CD, DVD, or an external Drive. Make sure you backup everything you need. After, you need a Windows XP CD to install the files needed. Insert the CD and reboot. If your computer won't boot from the CD, try to press 'F8' for start-up settings. And select the option that will let you boot from the CD. FOLLOW THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY. At the end of the installation, I suggest that you perform a disk cleanup to remove unnecessary files to get a fresh feeling of a new computer.

There's no way of changing to Windows XP legally without paying. It costs up to $200AUD for XP Professional, less if you get Home edition. If you have an old copy of windows 95, 98 etc then you could install that and get an upgrade to Windows XP for even less. Or you could torrent a copy and try your luck with keygens but they're usually filled with viruses and other junk so legal is best.

I have been fortunate enough to get a free computer but unfortunately the Windows XP language is naturally German. Does anyone know how to switch this to English?
