How to change xp to vista?

You need to purchase the desired verson of Vista from the store. Put the DVD in and follow the instructions.



Before you do that. Verify that your PC will handle the upgrade. You should have a minimum of 2 GB of RAM, decent video card, and an extra 5-10GB of room on your HD for Vista. Make sure you back your files up to a CD or jump drive too. You need to purchase a Vista Upgrade install CD, put it in, boot to the CD, then follow the prompts. It'll walk you through the whole process.
1. Press 'Delete' twice.

2. Type the letter 'v'

3. Follow the letter 'v' by the letters 'i' then 's' and 't'

4. Follow the letter 't' by the final letter 'a'

5. There you have it, 'xp' changed to 'vista'



But, I would point out on a serious note, I've heard so many bad things about vista that I would reccommend sticking with XP.
As a computer admin, I'm regulary 'downgrading' Vista users to XP.



Vista looks, better, starts faster (if you have a fast computer to start with), and browses the web and does email faster, as it uses its memory more efficiently (things are already loaded into memory you see).....



But overall, Vista will cost you about 6% of your systems' power.



And many older devices (such as my printer) won't work with it either.



Stick with XP.

why vista?? why not xp?? its the 1 which supports every thing.....
see you have to download vista verison for windows. But if i was there i would prefer XP. But why u want to change it

U cant change XP to vista. U hav to buy a dvd of desired version of vista and install it formatting ur hard disk.
