This should help. How can i change default xp icons?
Find on the net, images (.jpg's, .gif's, .png's) of what you want %26amp; download (or 'prntscrn' %26amp; crop), then save the ready image.

Creating your own XP icon:

Take the foto you want as an icon; process/save as an '; .ico '; file.

I use '; irfanview '; for this, but other app's will do it also.

With the image open, File%26gt; Save as...%26gt; select from drop menu '.ico' %26gt; OK out.

Note that large fotos, with lots of detail tend to get 'washed' out, so your end product may not be quite what you envision.

Put that new image into 'icons' folder:

Icons folder:

My computer%26gt; 'c' drive%26gt; Windows%26gt; System 32%26gt; Icons

Back on the desktop, right click the current icon to be changed%26gt; Properties%26gt; Change Icon%26gt; Browse...%26gt; navigate to the Icon folder %26amp; select...

http://www.irfanview.com/
the change default icons in xp right click on a blank area of the desktop and click properties when the display properties appear click the desktop tab then click the customize desktop button click the icon you want to change then click the change icon button you should be able to work the rest out yourself
Right click an empty spot on the desktop

click options %26gt; desktop tab

Highlight an icon and click change icon

It will show you some choices or you can browse for others
The only way i know is to make a shortcut then right click%26gt; properties %26gt; change icon
I don't think you can
