How can i change from xp to windows 98?

i need to install windows 98 on my pc that currently has xp on it. i dont care about safety risks about it!! i dont care that 98 is a bad os!! i just need to know how to do it, it first told me to restart in msdos mode, whioch i restarted in command prompt mode instead, then it wouldnt let me take xp out (from add + remove)How can i change from xp to windows 98?
If you already have your Windows 98 disk, you can boot from that. which will format the drive and remove XP, then it will install 98 for you. Just remember to back up any files you want to keep because it will wipe everything.How can i change from xp to windows 98?
Ok man here is what you do. If you have the Windows 98 install disk, which i will assume that you do. You insert it into the cd drive, reboot the computer and boot from the disk, then you simply follow the basic instructions from there, and format your hard disk, then it will install Windows 98 on to your computer, all you need on your end is the cd key and name etc. Hope this helps
If you have windows98 SE . You should be able to BOOT to the cd , as long as your cdrom is set as the 1st boot device in your bios boot sequence settings. And the harddrive is set to the second boot device.



Boot to the windows98 se cd and format and install.



If your windows98 is not the ';SE'; version. You will need to format your hard drive with a bootdisk. You can obtain a boot disk from http://www.bootdisk.com
I don't think win98 is a bad o/s, I just know that it will not work with more of the newer software coming out. Buf if you really want to downgrade, here is a site that instructs on it...
I suggest you take your hdd to best buy and have them format it for you.
