hi, i bought my laptop a year ago which came with vista operating system but hardly used it since and my mircosoft office 08 trial period expired because i didn't want to dowload office or buy it . now i have a laptop that has no office and worse with visa operating system, which i hate. i was wondering what would happen to my laptop if i delete the vista system and change to xp or windows 7, thanks.How do i change my windows vista operatig system to windows xp?

Vista has been refined to where it operates without problems. If you are still having them, update your computer with the latest Vista update software. As for Office, go to http://www.openoffice.org for a full office suit that is comparable to Microsoft Office with all the same features and it is free. I believe that one cannot go backwards from Vista to XP without formatting the hard disk, and installing XP from a cd.

Might be better to give XP a miss completely and purchase Win 7, although you will loose everything on your HD that you have not backed up.
